Historical Society Hosts Fire Department Anniversary Exhibit

Posted: Updated:

It's the Watertown City Fire Department's 200th anniversary and the Jefferson County Historical Society is helping it celebrate.

The fire department's Andrew Naklick and the Historical Society's Jordan Walker talked about it on 7 News This Morning. You can see their interview in the video.

An exhibit of the fire department's history opens at 6 p.m. on September 11 at the Historical Society's Paddock Mansion on Washington Street in Watertown.

The event will include a panel discussion on the department's history. The exhibit will be on display throughout the fall.

The Historical Society is also hosting its annual History and Genealogy Fair.

It's on September 23 and gives people a chance to learn from experts how to research their own family histories.

Admission to both events is a $5 donation.
