Heavy Drinking Risk, Flu Vaccine & ADHD

Posted: Updated:

Young men could be more at risk than young women when it comes to the dangers of heavy drinking.

That's according to researchers in Finland who found more changes in the brain's electrical functioning in male drinkers.

Doctors warn long-term alcohol use can be risky for all young people.

Flu Vaccine Season

The Academy of Pediatrics says everyone over 6 months old needs a flu shot and that children should get theirs by the end of October.

Doctors say the flu vaccine significantly reduces a child's risk of severe cases and death.

ADHD & Sleep

Scientists in Europe are exploring the link between attention deficit disorder and sleep problems.

About 75 percent of children and adults with ADHD struggle with sleep and doctors say the condition might have more to do with sleep disturbances than previously thought.
