Posted: Updated:

The ninth annual Run For Recovery that benefits the Watertown Urban Mission's Bridge Program is this weekend.

The Urban Mission's Jessica Piatt and Anthony Matthews talked about it on 7 News At Noon. You can see their interview in the video.

The Bridge Program is an alternative to incarceration and works with people who are in the legal system because of their addictions.

The run is Saturday, September 9 at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.

Registration starts at 7 a.m. and the run starts at 9 a.m. People have a choice of running or walking a 5K or a 10K.

Preregistration is closed, but people who want to participate can go to a "packet pickup" at the Urban Mission from 3 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, September 7. They can also register the day of the event.

The entry fee is $20 ahead of time and $25 the day of the race.

You can find out more at www.watertownurbanmission.com.

7 News is a sponsor of the event.
