Posted: Updated:

High bail amounts have been set for three suspects in the murder of a Pamelia man.

Appearing in Jefferson County Court Wednesday for their arraignments were:

  • 21 year old Taylor Beckstead
  • 22 year old Devin Davis
  • 26 year old Sammy Brown

Beckstead and Davis were ordered held in the county jail in lieu of $500,000 bail or $1 million bond.

Brown's bail was set at $250,000 or $500,000 bond.

The trio and two other suspects in the murder were indicted by a grand jury Tuesday.

All five are charged with second-degree murder and other criminal counts for the May 2017 killing of 20 year old Tyler Johnson.

Johnson was killed, police have said, during a robbery attempt. He was shot with a handgun.
