Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown is showing off its newly renovated labor and delivery rooms at the hospital.
After the $4.6 million upgrades, there are 2 more rooms than before and more amenities like a sofa bed for families spending the night and a bigger bathroom.
"The tub was one of the first things we noticed, because the bathrooms are pretty big which of course you're going to want that space," said Aiyana Watson, who's expecting a child in November.
"One of the biggest things that you'll notice is and that the community has noticed today when coming in is how big the rooms are - how accommodating they are to family," said Jessica Goodrich, registered nurse at SMC.
The renovations are part of Samaritan's plan for Center for Women and Children, including a separate entrance. The entire project is expected to be complete in August of 2021.
