Two Ogdensburg teenagers are accused of theft after they allegedly tried to steal an all-terrain vehicle in Hammond.
St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies say 18 year old Brandon Parker and 17 year old Dylan Parker also allegedly had tools and an air compressor that had been stolen in Jefferson County on September 5.
Deputies say they found the alleged stolen property in a vehicle and trailer the pair had abandoned while they were trying to avoid arrest for trying to take the ATV.
They ran off after someone saw them pushing the machine down State Route 37.
Deputies found them on County Route 6 in the town of Hammond and charged each of them with third-degree grand larceny and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.
They were arraigned in Morristown town court and released under probation supervision. They will be back in court at a later date.
