The Watertown Fire Department is marking its 200th anniversary.

The Jefferson County Historical Society is opening an exhibit on the fire department Monday night.

On display are old equipment and pictures from the fire department.

"We have an original ladder from the mid-1800s which doesn't even look like a ladder. It's just interesting to see the different changes," said Jordan Walker, executive director of the Jefferson County Historical Society.

The fire department is also unveiling an artifact from Ground Zero from 9/11 that will be on display. The exhibit will stay open throughout the fall.
