JCC Reflects On 9/11 Anniversary

Posted: Updated:

The north country joined the rest of the nation in observing the 16th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks.

On that day in 2001, two planes crashed into the World Trade Center in New York City, another crashed into the Pentagon, and fourth into a field in Pennsylvania.

There were several ceremonies and memorials throughout the north country including one at Jefferson Community College in Watertown.

Local law enforcement, veterans and students watched as a wreath was presented and the American and New York flags were lowered to half staff.
