Kids' Asthma, Silent Killer & Reducing ATV Accidents

New research from Europe indicates a connection between respiratory tract infections in young children and an increased asthma risk. 

Doctors tracking more than 150,000 kids found cases of bronchitis, pneumonia and other chest infections doubled and even quadrupled the likelihood of developing asthma later in life.

Silent Killer

Canadian doctors are recommending some older men have an ultrasound of the abdomen to screen for aortic aneurysms. 

Previous research shows men are four times more prone to aortic aneurysms which can rupture and cause death. 

Reducing ATV Accidents

Banning children from using off-road vehicles cuts down on hospital visits.

Researchers found a Massachusetts law that restricts anyone under 14 years of age from operating an off-road vehicle cut emergency room visits in half.
