Posted: Updated:

A documentary that takes an in-depth look at the U.S. prison system and how it reveals racial inequality will be screened at Jefferson Community College next week.

Lori Tuttle is an adjunct instructor of sociology at JCC. She says the movie, "13th," is named for the U.S. Constitution's 13th Amendment, which banished slavery.

Watch the video for her interview on 7 News This Morning.

The screening is at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20 in room 6-002 in the Jules Center.

The public is welcome and the screening is free.
