A long-time north country school superintendent is retiring.
James Kettrick has been superintendent of Indian River Central School since 2006.
Kettrick tells 7 News he'll retire as of June 30, 2018.
His retirement was announced at Thursday night's school board meeting.
"I'm getting older. There's great leadership coming behind me and they'll do a fantastic job and I just feel a sense of gratitude with all of them and the wonderful experiences they had at Indian River," said Kettrick.
Mary Anne Dobmeier will take over as superintendent. She's currently assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction.
She'll be replaced by high school principal Troy Decker. He's held that post since 2006.
