Man Accused Of Stealing From Norwood Fire Department

Posted: Updated:

A 39 year old Norwood man is accused of stealing from the fire department in his community.

The St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office arrested Timothy James of 1 Bernard Avenue.

He was charged with felony counts of third-degree grand larceny and third-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

The arrest stems from an investigation of stolen property from Norwood Volunteer Fire Department in July of this year.

Officials said the stolen item was recovered after James sold it in the town of Madrid.

James was arraigned in Potsdam Town Court and was released to the supervision of probation.

The sheriff's office didn't return our calls for additional information.
