Remnants of Hurricane Nate caused problems in parts of the north country Monday.

According to the National Weather Service, Jefferson County has seen more than 2 inches of rain fall since Sunday night.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office issued a travel advisory due to flooding of roads.

Motorists are urged to use caution and watch for standing water.

At the McIntosh Apartment building at the corner of West Main and Bradley streets in Watertown, the water caused some apartment ceilings to cave in. See our full report here,

Residents said the fire department came to unclog a drain on the roof, where at least a foot of water had collected.

Kate Hill posted a picture (above) to our Facebook page showing her vehicle at the North Country Animal Health Center in the town of Hounsfield. The water flooded part of the parking lot, but Hill said she moved her car. See our report and more pictures here.
