In state Class B play, the Gouverneur Wildcats advanced to the regionals Saturday with a 52-31 win over Peru.
Next up for the Wildcats is a meeting with Glens Falls at Ogdensburg Free Academy at 7 p.m. Friday, with a trip to the state final four on the line.
In state Class C play, the OFA Blue Devils advanced to the regionals with a 50-20 win over Saranac Friday night.
The Blue Devils, who lost in the state title game last year, will now meet Holy Trinity Pride at Schuylerville High School at 1 p.m. Saturday.
R&B Hall Of Fame
The Watertown Red & Black held their Hall of Fame induction ceremonies over the weekend at Savory Downtown in Watertown.
Inducted were 10 new members into the hall of the oldest semipro football team in the country, which ups the total to an even 100 members.
Some big names going in this year, including Earnie Wash, the all-time leading receiver in R&B history.
"Well you know you play 20 years of football, you hope it ends well and you hope it comes down to something big and this is something big," Wash said. "The Red and Black Hall of Fame -- gotta love it."
Well, It's -- I'm very honored," former lineman Jamee Call said. "I would have never thought that when i started playing this sport that I would ever be inducted into the Hall of Fame. You know, I'm a lineman -- you don't see a lot of lineman inducted."
