Acting on a report from school officials, state police arrested a Clayton man they accuse of having sexual contact with a child.

Troopers say 55 year old Gregory Morse allegedly had contact with someone under 13 years old between July 1 and August 31.

The investigation was prompted by a mandated report from the Thousand Islands Central School District.

Morse was charged with first-degree sexual abuse, forcible touching, and endangering the welfare of a child.

He was arraigned in Clayton town court and sent to county jail on $10,000 bail.

Anyone with more information about the suspect can contact Investigator Adam Swenson at the Alexandria Bay state police office at 315-482-2080.
