Watertown Kicks Off Christmas Celebration Friday

Posted: Updated:

It's time once again for the annual Christmas celebration in Public Square.

The square will be closed Friday night for the big parade and tree lighting.

Downtown organizers say this is a special year for the event.

"We're really looking forward to it this year. The whole evening is the most special time of the year in downtown Watertown and it's especially exciting this year with all that's going on with the revitalization," said Carol Loch, Downtown Business Association president.

Activities start at 6:15 p.m. and 7 News's own Mel Busler will emcee the parade.
