Open House Shows Off Flower Memorial Library Renovations

Posted: Updated:

After about a year of renovations its time to show off at Flower Memorial Library in Watertown.

Tour groups viewed the building at Saturday's open house after $1.2 million in renovations.

The 112 year-old building was under renovation to install a new heating and cooling system.

"For the next year or so we are going to be, again, working on the spaces, making them more flexible, said Flower Memorial Library's director Yvonne Reff. "So it's kind of thrilling, that we are just at the beginning of this. So every time you come in the library, you might see something new and different."

And as for the historical components, contractors were able to install the new system while keeping everything intact.
