It was special performance by a Fort Drum band at Immaculate Heart Central in Watertown Tuesday afternoon.
As a way to bring the IHC and military communities together, students watched the band of soldiers play a number of popular songs.
The assembly functions as a recruiting tool for both the military and the school.
"The military is looking to have a positive presence in the community. IHC of course is reaching out to Fort Drum because we service their students as well," said April Svedberg-Miller, IHC ESL teacher and organizer of the event.
School officials say more than a third of the students enrolled in IHC are from military families.
