Helen R. (Lantier) Mall, 94, Formerly of LaFargeville

LaFargeville - Mrs. Helen R. (Lantier) Mall, 94, formerly of the LaFargeville area, died Dec. 2nd, at Saratoga Springs Hospital.

There will be a Spring Graveside service at St. John’s Cemetery in LaFargeville at a time to be announced.

Helen was born Aug. 18th, 1923, in Clayton, the daughter of David and Olive Charlebois Paige.

She married Fred Lantier Dec. 5th, 1942, which ended in divorce. On Feb. 21st, 1976, she married USN Retired William Mall, who predeceased her.

Helen worked at various restaurants in the area, some of which were the Half Way Chalet, T.I. Club, and the C-Way Restaurant.

She was an avid N.Y. Yankees fan, loved to go shopping, and traveling.

Surviving are two sons, Fred Jr. (Jane) Lantier of New Hampshire, and William Lantier of Watertown; five daughters, Deanna Smith, and Susie Lantier, both of Rodman, Tina David of Pennsylvania, Rita Ogburn and her companion Glenn Walldroff of LaFargeville, and Karen (Steve) Thompson of Glenville, with whom she resided for the past 17 months; numerous grand and great grandchildren.

Three sons, David, James, and Doug (infancy), died before her.

Local arrangements are with the T.R. Jetty Funeral Home in Clayton.
