There's a course that helps give people the ability to handle situations they confront as they battle chronic diseases.
Dennis Crowley, founder of the North Country Cancer Support Group, talked about the six-week course he offers during Samaritan Medical Center's weekly Morning Checkup on 7 News This Morning.
He was joined by Jim Steggeman, Samaritan's oncology director, who talked about progress on the hospital's new cancer treatment center.
You can see their interview in the video.
The next course in the chronic disease self management program starts in January at the downtown Watertown YMCA.
Contact Michelle Graham, the Y's senior health and wellness director, at 315-782-3100 in you're interested.
And the cancer center is expected to be completed by October.
