A Watertown church made sure kids stayed warm this Christmas.
Sunday afternoon, more than 140 winter coats were given out to local kids at Mercy Point Church.
First, families took a journey through the 'North Pole,' getting a picture with Santa and Mrs. Claus, as well as stockings filled with candy.
They also enjoyed face painting and balloon art.
Finally, they reached the giant sled where helpers handed out coats.
"It was the pastor's vision and the staff followed," said Aaron Clemons, a parishioner at the church. "It makes us feel good and makes the kids feel good that they get a new coat for Christmas."
The coats were donated from local businesses. This is the first year the church has held the coat drive.
