Lake effect snow has left the area, so now all the north country has to worry about is the cold. The bitter, bitter cold.
Lake effect snow warnings have been lifted. They were originally set to expire Wednesday evening.
But now there are wind chill warnings. A wind chill warning for Jefferson and Lewis counties lasts until 1 p.m. Thursday. St. Lawrence County holds onto its warning until 7 a.m. Friday.
At least it will be sunny for a couple days.
Highs for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday will be in the single digits above zero. Highs for Sunday and Monday will be a couple degrees below. On Tuesday, highs will again be above zero, but just barely.
And it will be sunny most of those days. We'll have clouds Friday and Saturday, with a chance of snow on Saturday.
Lows will be mostly in the double digits below zero.
