Who will be the next King of Beards?
The Donegal beard-growing contest gets underway on New Year's Day. Judging is part of the annual North Country Goes Green Irish Festival in March.
The shave-off starts at noon on News Year's Day at the Sportsman's Barber Shop at 310 State Street in Watertown.
Barber shop owner Connie Johnson talked about the contest on 7 News This Morning. She was joined by 2014 winner Chris Dandrow.

Instead of attending the shave-off, contestants can email photos of their clean-shave selves firstname.lastname@example.org. The photos have to show proof of the date the beard was shaved.
Judging is based on length, fullness, color, texture, shine, style and balance.
