Some people were wrapping up 2017 with a "Night to Remember" at the Watertown Ramada.
It was the first "Night to Remember" gala to benefit the Alzheimer's Association of New York and the Fisher Center for Research in New York City.
For $75 people came for an evening of food and dancing.
Organizer Kathy Lettiere says she wanted to support a cause that hit close to home.
"Well, my mother-in-law, Geraldine Spaziani Lettiere, died from Alzheimer's and so I wanted to do something to benefit Alzheimer's research and to benefit services here in Watertown, N.Y."
Organizers do not have an exact number as to how much they raised.
