A Hermon woman landed in jail after she allegedly violated an order of protection and broke a piece of furniture during a domestic argument on New Year's Eve day.

St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies say 27 year old Larissa Carlin was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, aggravated family offense, and fourth-degree criminal mischief.

Deputies say she broke a wooden table that was inside the Hermon home.

Carlin was arraigned in Hermon town court and jailed on $5,000 bail.
