Olive Dura Silver, 94 died December, 30th 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse, NY.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Becker-Cleveland Funeral Home Inc., Chaumont, NY.
Olive was born December 23rd, 1923 in Chaumont, NY to Dorcus R. Warner, and Oliver T. Pennock.
In 1941 Olive graduated from Chaumont High School, and attended Rochester Business Institute before serving as the Secretary Clerk for Lyme Central School in Chaumont, NY.
February 21st, 1944 Olive married Frank S. Silver at her parent’s home in Chaumont on Point Salubrious.
Olive was a part of Beta Sigma Phi, Preceptor Alpha Chapter as well as the Three Mile Bay United Methodist Church.
Olive is survived by her daughter Ellen M. Andrews Bonita Springs, FL and son Scott B. Silver (Valerie) Dexter, NY. She is also survived by three granddaughters Cathryn M. Andrews-Keegan Whippleville, NY, Shannon L. Lane AZ, and Rachel L. Zehr Bainbridge, NY. As well as 8 great-grandchildren.
Olive is predeceased by her parents, her husband in February 2008, and two sister-in-laws, Kathryn Talbot and Harriet Haley.
A funeral service will be held at the Three Mile Bay United Methodist Church on Wednesday, January 3rd, at 1pm with a reception to follow in the fellowship hall. A spring burial will occur at a later date.
