A drug developed to treat type 2 diabetes could be useful in the battle against Alzheimer's.

As part of their study, British researchers gave what's called a triple receptor drug to lab mice.

They found it significantly reversed memory loss in the mice. Learning and memory formation also improved.

Mood Swings

Social media is shedding light on how your mood changes throughout the day.

Researchers from the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom took a look at more than 800 million anonymous twitter messages over a span of four years.

Sadness was at its peak first thing in the morning, while positive moods peaked between 8 p.m. and midnight.

Antiviral Drugs For Flu

The CDC is recommending the use of antivirals to treat individuals fighting the flu.

It's in response to increased flu activity in recent weeks.

The CDC recommends getting immunized, even if it only may provide a relatively small amount of protection.
