Posted: Updated:

With a blizzard warning in effect for Jefferson County and a lake effect snow warning for Lewis County, officials will tell you travel is risky.

In fact, Jefferson County issued a no unnecessary travel advisory for the county Tuesday afternoon. The advisory is in effect until further notice.

There have been a number of accidents in the region Tuesday, including one just outside West Carthage near Deer River.

A tractor trailer rolled off Route 26 at around 3 p.m. Tuesday.

No injuries were reported, but heavy snowfall was reported at the time.
