William Lewis Vivlamore, 87, of PotsdamPosted: Updated:
POTSDAM – Mr. William Lewis Vivlamore, 87, died peacefully in his home on Sunday evening, December 31, 2017.
William was born on May 30, 1930 in South Colton, NY, the son of the late William and Gladys (Shanty) Vivlamore. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
In the late 1950’s he opened Vivlamore and Sons where he spent the rest of his career serving the St. Lawrence County community until his retirement in 1994. He was a member of the Racquette River Free and Accepted Masons Lodge #213 in Potsdam until their merger with Amber Lodge #395 in Parishville, where he continued his membership. He was known by many and loved by all those he came in contact with.
He is survived by his sons Michael and Jeff Vivlamore, and his daughter Michelle Bird as well as his grandchildren Bill, Nichole, Eric, Larry, Michael, Nicholas, Abigail and great-children Riley, Jordyne, Spencer, Paige, Maddisyn, and Landry. He is also survived by his sister, Betty Dapoe and many friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois (Frederick) on August 31, 1973; his son, Richard “Rick” Vivlamore on June 20, 2000; and a sister, June Vivlamore.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family with burial in Fairview Cemetery, Parishville.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.
