State Awards Grants To Area Airports For Improvements

Airports around the north country are getting state funding for improvements.

Governor Cuomo made the announcement Monday.

The Watertown International Airport has been awarded $1.5 million to build a new hangar for ambulance services.

Another $180,000 is going to Massena International Airport to buy a fuel truck.

The Potsdam Municipal Airport is getting $154,800 to acquire multi-purpose airport maintenance equipment.

The Adirondack Regional Airport is receiving $270,000 to rehabilitate the town hangar.

The State Department of Transportation will immediately begin to work with airport project sponsors on the planned improvements.
