Teen Heart Health, Flu Vaccines & MRI Testing

Posted: Updated:

Severely obese teens who undergo weight loss surgery are showing signs of better heart health.

Researchers with five U.S. hospitals examined patients three years after surgery and found they had fewer risk factors for developing cardiovascular disease.

Flu Vaccines

Getting repeated flu vaccinations is beneficial for people over 65.

That's according to researchers in Spain who found regular flu vaccines kept people who contracted the virus from developing severe cases.

New MRI Testing

British scientists have developed a new and improved method of MRI testing.

It allows molecules found in the human body to be MORE magnetic and visible.

They say that would lead doctors to better diagnose and treat diseases like cancer, diabetes and dementia.
