Canton Maple Syrup Business Moves To Industrial Park

Posted: Updated:

A sweet move by a Canton business can now bring the sweet taste of St. Lawrence County to more people worldwide.

Parker's Real Maple is getting ready to start production in the Canton Industrial Park, moving production from the family farm.

It's a big step for 20 year old CEO Joshua Parker.

The business started with two part-time employees. Now 20 people are working here full-time.

“Everyone hears it all the time that when you grow up, and you grow up in Canton or a surrounding town, you have to get out of here and I believe this is a great area to have a business,” said Parker. “Our mission is to be able to create jobs in this area that are actually going to change people's lives.”

Parker's Real Maple supplies major retailers including Costco and Whole Foods and shipped 25,000 online orders last year.
