A 7 News viewer captured a powerful frontal system pushing its way over Lake Ontario Friday afternoon.
Matt Slocum said he recorded the video at around 2:15 p.m. over Henderson Harbor.
He said heavy rain followed.
7 News weather forecaster John Kubis said the video appears to show a cold front traveling west to east over the lake.
He said the lake's temperature at the time was in the low 40s while the air temperature was in the 50s to 60s.
Anytime you have warm air over a cooler surface, you'll see fog.
In this case, Kubis said the fog accompanied the heavy rain above, creating this impressive system.
Thanks to Matt Slocum for sharing this video with us.
