It takes a "bark and wine" to keep the Jefferson County SPCA running fine.
The 24th annual Bark and Wine fundraiser happened Saturday at Savory Downtown in Watertown.
Bark and wine is the SPCA's largest fundraiser, usually bringing in between $30K-40K each year, which organizers say is crucial to help the SPCA's with operating costs.
"We don't get any funding. We get no state, local, or federal funding. So the only way we are able to survive is through these fundraisers," said Heather Spezzano, SPCA executive director.
