Frampton & Steve Miller Band To Headline DPAO Concert

The Disabled Persons Action Organization has announced well-known classic rock performers to headline one of their outdoor summer concerts.

The Steve Miller Band with Peter Frampton will perform in Watertown this summer as part of the DPAO Summer Concert Series.

The act was announced by the DPAO Monday morning. They'll be performing at the Watertown Fairgrounds at 7 p.m. on June 30.

It's a $300,000 investment, but DPAO is hopeful it'll be a successful fundraiser for the organization.

"Mainly they've been doing these big national tours. So they're playing venues that probably seat 10,000, 15,000. We're a lot less. We're probably in the 5 to 7, or 8,000, so, yea, we were excited when we got the word that they're coming to Watertown, New York," said DPAO Foundation Director Tim Dermady.

The Steve Miller Band is known for such hits as "Fly Like an Eagle," Take the Money and Run," and "Living in the USA."

Frampton's hits include "Do You Feel Like We Do," "Nowhere's Too Far for My Baby," and "Show Me the Way."

Tickets go on sale at 7 a.m. on Friday, Ferbruary 16. General admission tickets are $64. Reserved admission tickets are $75.

They can be purchased at dpao.org or by calling 315-782-0044. General admission tickets will be available at area Kinney Drug stores.

DPAO officials say the two performers will cost the organization $300,000.
