Get Your Geek On At Library's Pop Culture Program

Posted: Updated:

If you're into pop culture, Flower Memorial Library is the place.

The project Monday night was making dragon eggs.

It was part of what the library calls a Fandom Fun event, where people can geek out on their favorite things.

The dragon eggs were geared toward the popular HBO show "Game of Thrones."

Amanda Presley, Flower Memorial reference librarian Amanda Presley hosts these events one Monday a month, with a different theme each month.

"We've introduced kind of some fandom fun days to our schedule, so they're geared towards ages 15 and up," she said.  "Last month was Harry Potter and this month we're focusing on 'Game of Thrones.'"

Next month's theme is Dr. Who, so the focus changes from dragon eggs to a TARDIS.
