Cornwall Drops Out Of Federal Hockey League

Posted: Updated:

The Federal Hockey League, home to the Watertown Wolves, has lost a team.

The Cornwall Nationals announced Tuesday that they have ceased operations.

A statement said the team wasn't getting the fan support it needed to continue.

That leaves the league with five teams.

The Nationals were scheduled to play Watertown at the fairgrounds Friday night.

The league is in the process of putting a team of federal hockey league players together to play against the Wolves instead.
