Wal-Mart Cashier Accused Of Stealing $1,100

A Watertown woman is accused of stealing cash from the Watertown department store where she was a cashier.

Jefferson County sheriff's deputies say 19 year old Samantha Staehly allegedly took cash from the Wal-Mart on Arsenal Street in Watertown at least 14 times between January 10 and February 25.

Deputies say she stole a total of $1,100.

Staehly was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny.

She was arraigned in Hounsfield town court and jailed on $2,500 bail.
