Giving Students An Inexpensive Alternative for Prom

A chance to raid Cinderella's closet for the perfect dress for prom.

The Watertown Urban Mission is hosting their annual Cinderella and Prince Charming's Closet Sale this week to help students find their perfect prom outfit without spending a fortune.

Tons of gently worn and brand new items were donated from members of the community and local businesses. Each item is only 8 dollars.

"Really our focus is just making sure that they can have a good prom," said Morgan Spencer, director of development at the Watertown Urban Mission. "Making sure they have what they need because, you know, dresses can be up to $500 and really pricey. So $8 for a dress, or $8 for a suit is just a way for us to give back."

The sale is open to high school students only and continues through Friday.
