Posted: Updated:

A Jefferson County grand jury has indicted a 55 year old Clayton man accused of having sexual contact with a child.

Gregory Morse was indicted on counts of first-degree sexual abuse, forcible touching, and endangering the welfare of a child.

According to the indictment, Morse had sexual contact with a girl between June 23 and September 4 of last year. The girl was under the age of 13.

State police arrested Morse last November following an investigation prompted by a mandated report from the Thousand Islands Central School District.

He was arraigned in Clayton town court and sent to county jail on $10,000 bail. Morse was later released after bail was posted.
