There's word that a West Carthage paper mill will be back open March 18.
That's according to Carthage Specialty Paperboard executive Michael Lambert.
However, the union says it doesn't believe the date to be certain.
The mill closed February 25 because it ran out of money to buy fiber and then filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last week after a buyer of the business backed out.
The mill it employs 80 people.
Lambert and 2 other top mill mangers are ready to buy the mill after the bankruptcy.
The business is $31 million in debt.
