The funeral for Ann M. Richmond will be 4pm Saturday, March 10th at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville with Pastor Mark Strader officiating.
Spring burial will be in Union Cemetery, Adams Center. Calling hours are from 2 pm – 4 pm on Saturday before the funeral at the funeral home.
Mrs. Richmond, 83, of Ellisburg, passed away Tuesday March 6th at the Samaritan Medical Center. She had been a resident at the Samaritan Keep Home for the past 2 ½ years.
She is survived by her husband, James, Ellisburg; her sons Michael (Shelly) Shoemaker, Cape Vincent, James Todd (Monica) Richmond, Rochester; several grandchildren; her brother-in-law and his wife, Ralph and Marilyn Lerro, Liverpool; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons Martin Shoemaker and James Richmond, Jr, a brother at birth Richard Charles Cummings, a grandson at birth Martin Shoemaker, Jr., a brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Connie Cummings.
Ann was born in Watertown December 24, 1934, a daughter to Charles and Marion Huntington Cummings and graduated from Watertown High School. She married James Richmond June 22, 1966 in Maryland. Ann worked as a domestic for many families and cared for the elderly for several years.
Ann was a former member of the Ellisburg Volunteer Fire Department Auxilary.
Memorial donations may be made in Ann’s name to the Belleville or Ellisburg Volunteer Fire Departments.
