The funeral mass for Hazel Bartlett will be 11:00am Wednesday, March 14th at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, Watertown, Rev. Jonas Tondayu officiating.
Spring burial will be held at the families’ convenience. Calling hours will be from 11:00am to 1:00pm Tuesday March 13th at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, Watertown.
Hazel passed away Thursday, March 8th at Hospice of Jefferson County. She was 91 years old.
Hazel was born November 13, 1926 in Watertown. She was educated locally, and worked at the Watertown Linen Supply where she retired from in 1991.
She married Gordon W. Reynolds July 1, 1944 at St. Theresa’s Church in Theresa. Mr. Reynolds passed away July 19, 1964.
On January 5, 1974 she married Stanley Bartlett, son of the late Ellis and Mabel Bartlett, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Mr. Bartlett, a 40 year retiree of St. Regis Paper Co., died July 16, 1998.
Hazel was a member of the American Legion Post 61 Auxiliary, VFW Post 1400 Auxiliary, and a Patron member of the Eagles Club Post 782 Auxiliary.
She is survived by three daughters: Rosemarie Nadelen of Croghan, Sandra and Walter Smith of Smithville, Cherie Ransome of New Bremen; a stepson: Stan and Marline Bartlett of Rochester; and a stepdaughter: Cindy and Jerry Spaziani of Watertown. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband(s), she is predeceased by a son in-law, Michael Ransome, and two sisters, Nel & May.
