Dozens Take 'Baby Steps 4 Life'

Nearly 100 people walked in the Baby Steps 4 Life event at Salmon Run Mall in Watertown Saturday morning.

It benefits the Care Net Pregnancy Center of Northern New York, which provides parenting information to people across the region.

Money raised from the event will go toward buying educational materials for programs, including one specifically for dads.

"It covers topics like how to be a role model to your children, how to discipline fairly, how to treat mom, and just how to be a good dad," Care Net executive director Connie Silva said.

The event raised more than $5,000.
