Traffic Advisory: Falcon's Peak Gets Underway Monday

Posted: Updated:

There could be traffic delays around Fort Drum starting Monday and area residents could hear more helicopter noise.

That's because of the Falcon's Peak training exercise for the 10th Mountain Division's 10th Combat Aviation Brigade that runs through April 18.

Motorists can expect heavy military vehicle traffic at times and longer-than-usual delays at stop signs and traffic lights.

Communities including Carthage, Lowville, Gouverneur, Degrasse, Saranac Lake, and Cranberry Lake will likely hear and see additional helicopter traffic, some of which could be at very low altitudes.
