A town of Denmark man is accused of leaving his dog in his old home without food or water for more than two weeks.

Lewis County sheriff's deputies say 35 year old Chad Gabruk allegedly left his 2 year old pit bull behind when he moved.

The dog was discovered 18 days later with no food or water.

Gabruk was charged with cruelty to animals, a misdemeanor.

The dog was taken to the Lewis County Humane Society, where it will be cared for until it's healthy enough to be adopted.
