A Lowville man was charged with child endangerment after he allegedly failed to supervise a 3 year old who was later found in the road.
Lowville police say the child was left unattended and managed to open the door at what they call an uncertified residential day care operated by 31 year old Danai Ressler at his Rural Avenue home.
A neighbor saw the child in the roadway in bad weather without shoes, coat, hat or gloves.
Police say the child was returned to a family member unharmed.
Ressler was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and was released to appear in Lowville village court at a later date.
