As expected, Sunday morning's weather was terrible across northern New York.
By 10 AM, more than 150 churches and other organizations had notified 7 News of cancellations for the day - the highest number of Sunday cancellations in the last few years.
The closings and cancellations were in all three counties.
Freezing rain was the main problem in the Watertown area by mid-morning Sunday; vehicles iced over and parking lots and sidewalks were slippery.
The good news Sunday morning - the lights stayed on. National Grid reported only minor power outages in the north country.
Jefferson and Lewis counties remain under a winter storm warning until early Monday morning. The major issue: the temperature is hovering right around the freezing mark, so the day promised to be a mix of freezing rain, sleet and rain.
