Power Still Winking Out After Weekend's Ice

The numbers of north country National Grid customers without power keeps fluctuating.

The weekend's icing and windy conditions Monday are causing tree limbs and power lines to come down.

As of around noon, The National Grid website showed around 1,800 customers in Jefferson County were without power, 1,000 of them in the town of Theresa. There were also about 200 out in the town of Alexandria, 280 in the town of LeRay, 100 in Evans Mills, and 130 in the town of Pamelia.

National Grid is estimating they'll all be back online by 3 p.m.

More than 700  were without electricity in Lewis County. They were mostly in the towns of Lewis, Montague, Osceola, Turin, and Watson. National Grid gives various times for power to return, ranging from this afternoon to 9:30 p.m. Monday.

The roughly 120 St. Lawrence County customers -- about two-thirds of them in the city of Ogdensburg -- are expected to be back online by around 3 p.m.

Power was out sporadically over the weekend.
