McHugh Receives Honorary Degree from Clarkson

"Thank you again for this high honor, and may all of your life's be a beautiful dance."

That was part of the message to Clarkson grads from former congressman and secretary of the Army John McHugh.

 McHugh was given an honorary degree from Clarkson University Saturday.

 Earlier before his speech, we talked to McHugh about how graduates's skills learn at engineering schools like Clarkson can translate into the service..

"This is an Army that is supported by high tech and some of the most advanced systems of the world. And STEM graduates are just a great fit with what he Army's doing today and into the future," McHugh said.

Before the commencement, McHugh spent time talking to students..

He left his position of secretary of the army in 2015 after six years.
